Schmancy Olympic Challenge!!! Made Up Sport - Cupcake Throwing!

The great art of Cupcake Throwing was just discovered this year and it all started innocently! Teddy the Love Bot Bot was just about to enjoy her cupcake when someone rudely bumped into her. Accidentally getting caught up in her anger - she threw her cupcake. It missed the rude offender, but it hit right in the middle of the bakery sign. Somewhere from in the restaurant someone shouted, "nice cupcake shot!" and that is the day Cupcake Throwing was discovered!

How delighted was I when I received a HUGE Plush Team gift from the one and only Abbydid (aka Santa) :)

Of course, in my excitement I wasn't able to take pictures of my Plush Team swap until I was hugging it excitedly and squealing like a little girl!

I would love to introduce you to my amazing, awesome Wibbly Granfather Christmas (which I have already named grandpa wibbles)!!

He has already taken to living with us quite well - He enjoys hanging out in my craft space over seeing what I am making.

He is quite fond of cooking and loves to spend his free time browsing the internet for new recipes:

And of course, he loves his afternoon nap :)

We just love our Grandpa Wibbles!! Thank you so much Abby!!

Goals for 2010!

I know this is a month late - but I figure I should get to it sometime!! I have been thinking about the new year a lot and I figured I would make myself a to - do list that is simple...and to the point:

#1. Clutter free my life!!!
#2. Create a handful of new plush designs!
#3. Get in shape!
#4. Have fun!
#5. See friends and family!
#6. Get a puppy!!
#7. Learn how to decorate and make our place super fly :)
#8. Go to school!
#9. Learn new art techniques- knitting for sure and screenprinting are at the top of my list
#10. Go somewhere new and exciting :)
#11. I love cooking and baking - so definitely a lot more of that
#12. A new style - including hair and clothes. It's time to shake some things up

I'm sure I could go on for days for this list- but I think I will stop there for now. What else are you up to this year? :)

Will I ever figure out what I want to be when I grow up? My goodness, how old am I?? You're kidding!

When will I finally get a puppy? Please tell me I will get one! 0_0

Will I ever learn how to decorate? Is that stylish or do I have no idea what I am doing??

Could I logically get rid of everything I own other than my bed and a car full of possessions? Because that would be nice :)

Does under use of your brain mean it dies away? Because that would make a lot of sense...

Why do cookies taste so darn good?? Maybe I should make cookies... :)

Why is losing weight so hard? Oh yeah....because of the cookie thing.

What should I make for dinner??? Why am I always missing one ingredient on what I want to make??

My best friend Keri has a nice collection of Samaria Project Plush that has been handed down to her adorably cute son, Wes. I also made him a special baby blanket when he was born-which I am told is one of his favs! (I feel so special!!!) She took a pic to melt my heart....What a cutie!

A New Year and new happenings!

I have been terrible with keeping up my blog - in all honesty I sort of feel like my life is pretty boring...it goes like this: sleep, eat, work or craft, eat, work/craft, sleep, and so on :)

BUT, of the things that did go on - here are some fun highlights!
We did our second trip to Sea World (back in October we went and got a free bounce back before the new year) :)

My favorite part is seeing all the marine life - my all time FAVORITES were the bat rays :) They were so surprisingly cute and cuddly! (I didn't get a pic of them because I was too busy petting them and getting covered in water) But, I did get a few pics of the other aminals - I think the baluga whales were a close second because they looked like they were smiling!

I have been contemplating a lot about what is to come for Samaria Project this year....Thinking of more designs that may become regulars and what other items should be in the shop or retired :) If anyone has ideas you would love to see- please let me know!!!

I have 2 - anything pumpkin baking...and how my hubbs smells when he gets out of the shower...*swoon*

Getting stuck in patterns for too many years...and being to scared to really go for things.

Getting myself healthy. I hit a health low point about 2 years ago - and I thought I was healthy then!!! Since then I really amped up working on keeping myself healthy and happy - and in that I went back to being creative and doing things that make me happy instead of cranky.

Dogs-but kittens are also awesome

What’s your biggest fashion mistake?
Not having enough moolah to look super cute everyday. I used to have the cutest hair that changed color every month...I need to go back to that!

hulu.com We haven't had cable in years - but ever since hulu came around I am so hooked! damn you hulu!

An artist! I actually found a journal entry from second grade where I talk about this...it is hilarious!

I have been REALLY getting into cooking lately. I generally spend any extra time I have looking up recipes and tweeking them to my liking (and also to my food allergies).

Here are two recipes that have become my favorites:
Easy tasty dinner-

Jess's Bean Soup w/ vegan irish soda bread
Ingredients for soup (yet another version)

* 1.5 cups chopped celery
* 3/4 cup torn collard greens
* enough water to cover it all
* sprinkle of italian seasoning
* 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
* 1 can cannelli beans, drained and rinsed
* 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
* 1/4 cup alphabet mini pasta

Essentially, I threw everything into a pot (except for the pasta)- brought it to a boil and then let it simmer for 35 minutes. I threw in the alphabet pasta and let it simmer for 11 more minutes. Super easy - I like my soup sorta bland - so you can add in onions, spices, etc. I was just using up leftovers! This was a variation of about 5 different soup recipes! Thank goodness it turned out ok!

Vegan Irish Soda Bread
Vegan Irish Soda Bread

1 cups white whole wheat flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup plain yogurt

Preheat oven to 400 F. Mix the dry ingredients together. Add the yogurt and mix it in well. (Add more flour if the dough is sticky, more yogurt if it's too dry.) Shape into a ball and put on cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown, about 25-30 minutes.

So, I wanted to do a quick shout out to the cutest couple running the cutest shop (who also have the cutest puppy)- YO ESTELA, RILEY, and DEXTER - YOU ROCK! :)

I've been following Estela on Etsy since long, long ago and just thought she was the coolest kid ever :) Because of that I started following her blog and just loved her stories and pictures....which led into watching her and Riley think up and go after opening The Felt Bird in Enid, OK. From re-finishing floors, to painting, to getting in inventory I look forward to their blog updates to see how things are going! To say the least it has been awesome to watch them go step by step opening their store! Today was slow going but I am proud of my progress....

Here is how the Munny is going. I put on the third coat of white paint and colored in around the eyes with a lovely raspberry sharpie. I'm going to let it fully dry before I tough up the black lines:

After I worked on my Munny I returned my sights to a growing pile of plushies that needed completion and was able to stuff and sew up this pile of bats and owlies!!

Next on my list is finishing up some Love Bot Bots and also making some more Mr. Fronches for The Felt Bird! Woot Woot!

First Mini Munny Attempt!

Being that I work @ the urban vinyl toy store Red Hot Robot- it was bound to happen that I would eventually get the hunger to make my own custom vinyl.

I picked up a light blue mini Munny about a month ago - and have since been too scared to decorate it!!

To ease my scared-y cat-ness I downloaded a Munny template and started brainstorming ideas. Here's the TEMPLATE if you need it!

Today, I thought while I was @ work I be finally brave enough to start (and would document the occasion taking pics with my cell phone, sorry if they are a little fuzzy!)- I started with sketching on the blank Munny:

Then did a first coat with a paint pen:

It's the first time I've ever used a paint pen...they are pretty neat - a little rough - but neat! Currently, I am on my second coat...I think I may leave it there for a few hours to give it a chance to fully dry:

BOOYAH! Montana was SUCH a fun trip!

Here is Vin being awesome and super cute with his fish!

We went fishing on the Bighorn River and it was a blast! Our good friend Steve Seville took us. He is a professional guide and was really patient with me :) I didn't even hook him once! Though, I will admit there was one close one *whoopsy!* (we were super lucky he took us!)

I got to hang out with my family and do all sorts of fun stuff!

I am officially back and trying to not think about going on more vacations! *sniffle*
I'm currently in the studio sewing a lot and praying for the hot Phoenix summer to be over!

Just made some Low Fat Zucchini Cookies- pretty tasty! I got the recipe from the blog TRIED AND TRIED AGAIN I tweeked the recipe a bit :)
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 egg
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup grated zucchini (fine grate)

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray cookie sheet with non-stick cooking spray. Cream together sugar, butter, yogurt and egg with a mixer on low speed until light and fluffy. Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with grated zucchini. Drop by tablespoon full onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-12 minutes or until cookies are barely starting to turn brown around the edges. Let cookies stand for 1-2 minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring them to a wire rack for cooling. Makes 3 dozen cookies.

Harry Potter!

So Vin and I went to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on Saturday morning and I have to say I LOVED IT!!! I have become quite the geek when it comes to Harry Potter - so basically I was beyond excited to go and see the movie. Absolutely loved it and I even jumped about a mile and screamed at one point (to which a few people in the theater laughed at me- Arizona people are so pleasant)

We left the theatre only to discover that it was REALLY REALLY....REALLY...REALLY hot outside...in the 5 minutes it took to get to the car I was pretty much sick - when we got in the car the seats burned our skin because they were so hot to touch - we checked Vin's dashboard temp reading which bounced between 118 and 120 (the weather said it was only 113 --PFFFT, yeah right!!) We had to run a few errands and by the time we got home I was so sick from the heat that I felt like my brain may have melted and drained out my ears - sorta like this:

SLC Studio is a fellow Plush Team member and maker of Silly Little Creations! For years SLCstudio made cards, but stuffies came from her love of soft fabrics, basic shapes, and bold colors plus a plethora of friends with newborns and toddlers. She has a little one who loves his stuffed toys (what a lucky kid!) But, down to the nitty gritty she loves the way they make people smile.

Today's Plush Profile is MOONSCREATIONS!

Moons aka Marcie is a fellow Plush Team member and bunny mines operator. A crocheter her whole life, she has been designing amigurumi since 2005 and works part-time with a Travel Agency. Her trademark Moon Bun, short for Moon Bunny, was created in December 2006 and like real bunnies, they've multiplied and taken over her life. (I've noticed that they are taking over my crafting area...and I LOVE IT!) Welcome to the land of Moon Buns, where tiny bunnies dance and sing!

Today's Plush Profile is ABSOLUTELY SMALL!

Absolutely Small is a fellow Plush Team member who also the founder of TheNeedle.org(a collaborative website where creators of quality plush can share their work). Claire Chambers is a crazy-pants artist/crafter who spends most of her time indoors in Northern California. She likes making people laugh, chickens and pugs, and writing about herself in the third person. :) And I adore her!!
So- let's get to my favorites!
FIRST up - Mr. Chickenpants himself:

All the Chickenpants plushies are so original! I love that they follow a basic pattern, but each one is unique. They each have their own personalities and are numbered! :)
NEXT Wee Goat:

I love these! I think they are so cute! Like the chickenpants - they are all basically the same - but come out with such different personalities!
LAST - but full of cute power - tiny Plush Chicks!

All I can say is AWWWWWWWWWWW. So cute! Everytime I look at these I half expect them to chirp and start hoping towards me :)

Today's Plush Profile is FOLLOW THE WHITE RABBIT! :)

Follow the White Rabbit is a fellow Plush Team member who is again on my list of crafty nomads. :) Emily is an animator who has worked on movies, TV shows and commercials and moves around a lot. Currently she is chilling in Los Angeles making me jealous that she gets to go to the beach all the time.;) BUT, better yet - Emily makes handmade plush toys from her own designs. These include woodland animals, dark creatures and frilly heroines. :) They are all awesomely detailed and cute to boot...so without further ado - let's look at some of my favs from Emily!:
First up are the ever awesome Deer Plush:

These plush deer are so lovely - they are almost like a soft little sculpture that you could snuggle and put on your mantle piece - I adore her deer!
NEXT - Mini Rabbit Plushies!

Mini Rabbits are little stuffed toys especially made for Pullips, Blythes, Momokos and other 1/6th scale dolls. They love being carried around and hugged! :) I love tiny things and these are definitely oober adorable!
Last, but not least! - Ophelia The Nurse

I love her story "Ophelia really does have the best intentions, despite what others might say. She loves her little bear buddy Thorn, even though he is constantly getting hurt on the playground. Nurse Ophelia is always there to care for his wounds and bandage him up. Once I thought I heard maniacal laughter coming from her room, but she says I was just imagining it. I'm not sure if she's being entirely true because rumour has it that Ophelia is an escapee from a mental institution."

Up on our Plush Profile today is Scrumptous Delight!

Scrumptious is a fellow traveling crafter (like myself) who has been around the world and is currently chilling in Canada with her wonderful family. She's been crafting since she was a kid but it wasn't until her son was born when it really took off! I absolutely love her plushies and can't get over how unique and absolutely ADORABLE all of them are....Here are some of my personal favorites: PLUSH MARSHMELLOWS!

I am so in love with these!!! My favorite part on the small marshmellows are the little bows/puffs of hair that distinguish them as boys or girls...My fav part on the big marshmellows are the little hearts that tuck into a cute little pocket for safe keeping :)

I AM SO FREAKING EXCITED!!! I'm going to be working @ the oober fabulous and awesome RED HOT ROBOT TOY GALLERY AND CULTURE SHOP this summer and I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am!!!

I was actually introduced to urban Vinyl by the lovely and sweet Amy Del Castillo @ Lulu Bell Toy Bodega when she graciously asked me to do a show there in December. It was then that I discovered vinyl toys in all they're amazing glory and proud to report I am officially HOOKED. I find the toys not only cute/awesome but the stories of the artists and the business of being a urban toy designer fascinating. :)

Plush Team Iron Chef Challenge!

My secret ingredient for the Plushteam Iron Plush challenge was foam...I was so stumped by this project that I literally went to the craft store, bought a big package of fun foam - came home and flipped through a cookbook until something came to me....

Mostly it was hunger...and a spinach/tomato omelet looked good - so I made it!

This omelet is made out of various shades of fun foam -and also foam stuffed with a felt outer. Squishy to the touch - just like a real omelet

I always think it's neat to see where people create - so I thought I would give you a quick look into my space :)
To those who didn't know, we recently moved to Tempe, AZ. In the move we went from a house down to a condo. Which meant I went from a whole craft room, to occupying the dining area. :) I will admit - at first I felt a bit like a crafter without a country - but once I got organized, I actually love my little corner! It obviously gets a ton of light - and it forces me to be really organized and creative with my space. Because if I'm not...uhhh well-it's everywhere! I'm excited to start putting up some more art and tweeking the area to my needs. I have to admit I am still amazed at how much I fit into such a small space. It's still VERY much in process..we'll see what I will be able to do with it over the next while! :)

Ok I'm just proud of this plushie - introducing Plush Pug - TOPANGA!

I know I am in BIG trouble for not listing in my shop often enough! I thought I would give you a quick insight into what I am up to and since a lot of my tweet followers were wanting to see plushies in production! Most of these little guys are going into a request from one of my fav shops who sells my plushies - I will show you when I complete it!

and I am SO PROUD because I am finally getting my craft area organized since we moved. Pretty much since we downsized our space from a house to a condo - my craft area turned from a whole room to myself down to squeezing in the dining room area. It has looked like a war zone for the last few weeks trying to tetris everything in! I was lucky to nab a sweet IKEA bookshelf (on a SWEET deal - thank you memorial day sale!) And I am finally able to get back to business now that I am more organized!

I know, I know - I live in Arizona now so I should love the sun - but being that I am oober fair skinned - me and the sun, not exactly pals...But, just to be a good sport here's a fun pic I took that makes me think of sunshine:

Today is sewing day! After packing a few awesome orders it is go time on sewing about 25 plushies that are currently "in production!" Many of these are going out on consignment - BUT, a handful will be gracing my shop this week so keep your eyes peeled!

Samaria Project visits California and Montana!

It's been awhile since I updated my peeps on what I have been up to! As you could probably tell I haven't been updating my store as often as I should (shame on me). But, in my defense we just moved a month ago and I went on two fun filled trips!

First, Vin and I went to Southern Cali to Carlsbad for a visit. I HEART Carlsbad. I think it is just such an awesome ocean town - and I SO want to live there. We were only there for about a day and a half - but I did manage to snap some fun pics and spend almost an entire day laying on the beach (and got a really weirdo sunburn. Note to self- put sunscreen on evenly.) Here are a few of my favorite pics from the trip!

Next, I took a trip out to visit my parents in Montana. We had a blast! We went to Chico Hot Springs-which was AWESOME! I hate cholorine-so chilling in a beautiful valley in natural mineral hot springs was my definition of heavenly :) The lodge is super rustic, too - so that made it all the more fun. I wanted to take pics of the pools - but I spent so much time in them and loving it - I totally neglected to grab a picture :( But here are some pics from around the lodge to entertain you!

Last-since we were right by the north entrance - we headed over to Yellowstone! I must say that this time of year was really animal filled. We saw black bears, tons of bison, and lots of elk and antelope! (I love the antelope's with their bright white butts! You can spot them from miles away!) Keep in mind I don't have hardly any zoom on my camera - so all of these aminals were up close and personal!

Why can't I just get a nice haircut?

I decided it was time to go and get my hair cut because it was almost to my shoulders and it is 100+ degrees outside. (aka feels like I am wearing a blanket wrapped around my head!)

The 2 main things I need cut when I get a haircut are:
1. the back- the back of my hair grows REALLY fast and it is the thickest hair - so it definitely needs to be cut for sure.
2. My hair is THICK - so it needs to be thinned ALOT to be manageable.

Back to the story - The hair stylist does ok at first but she has hardly cut the back at all - so I have this big puff ball look going on - I asked her about it and she replied, "When I thin it - I will cut that down" Whew...or so I thought... Next she starts drying my hair and making it puffier and puffier - I again asked what she was up to and she said, "This is a very precise style- so I need it dry so I can see how it lays" OK...then, instead of cutting layers in the back with scissors (to stack it) she gets out the electric razor and starts "shaping it". Well, that would work if my hair was straight and thin....not curly and thick!!! Now I am nervous because when she finished with the razor she gives me the mirror and says, "did you need me to do anything else?" UHHHH..I had this HUGE old lady fro looking thing and it was supposed to look like this:

But it looked more like this (but to my chin):

When I asked her if she could thin my hair a bit for me she said, "I feel that thinning thick hair makes it frizzy. I won't do it." OKAY....so I asked again, She BARELY touches the edges and says, "that's all I will do." So, at this point I realize there was nothing I could do...I had a fro and a fro it would stay....

I then came straight home, busted out my thinning shears (that I keep for such emergencies) and thinned the bejangles out of it. I have no clue if I made it worse...all I know is that looking like I had an eagle nest on my head wasn't going to help anything. I figure...it's just hair...it will grow back...

For my birthday my most awesome hubbs took me to see the Jimmy Eat World Clarity Concert.

Literally, one of the BEST concerts I have been to! It has been quite awhile since I left a concert with no voice because I sang my guts out. They have officially taken the "my Fav band" spot in my heart.

I wish I could go and see the concert again..but I guess I can settle with the live album they are now compiling from all the shows... Hurry it up guys I am dying to buy the album!

This little owl says it all for Samaria Project aka Jess's resolutions in 2009 Jan/Feb plush challenge!

My little Jess Owlie here is all about stepping it up...first, you see the big heart on her chest?-this is because she gives so much gratitude and love to those around her, her little heart is proudly on display!

She also went and got an fancy new hair-do and even started taking better care of herself (see that cute little bow in her feathers? And who knew owlies had such pretty eyelashes!)

She works on making sure to get enough sleep (she's catching a few Zzzz's as we speak) and because everything is going so well - she even managed to save up some moolah in her nest!

Samaria Feature - MOONSCREATIONS

I'm starting a feature where I get to talk about how awesome some of my fellow Etsians are!

I decided to start with the wonderful, amazing, and hilarious Moonscreations- or as I call her, Moons.

Miss Moons makes amigurumi that are individually handcrafted from her personal, copyrighted patterns. Each doll has its own personality and individual characteristics.
Her trademark Moon Bun, short for Moon Bunny, was created in December 2006 and like real bunnies, they've multiplied and taken over her life. Which is fitting because who wouldn't want to be surrounded by these cuties????!?

My favorite thing about Moonbuns is that Miss Moons aka Marcy makes them so individual and even gives them cute little hoods! Here is her Forest Moon Bun (that comes in an array of colors):

She also does series each month highlighting holidays - this is by FAR my favorite for February...Han Solo and Princess Leia Moonbuns *swoon*

Remember, with moonbuns you gotta pick them up quick...because just like real bunnies one second they are there...and the next...GONE

CPSIA : delayed implentation for one year!

From Consumers Union. Effective today...

CPSC votes for one-year CPSIA delay on certain products

The Consumer Product Safety Commission today granted a one-year stay of testing and certification requirements for certain products to be regulated under the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. According to the agency, the stay provides "some temporary, limited relief to the crafters, children’s garment manufacturers and toy makers who had been subject to the testing and certification required under the CPSIA." Not included under the stay are, among other things, the ban on lead in paint and other surface coatings, the standards for full-size and non full-size cribs and pacifiers and the limits on lead content of metal components of children’s jewelry.

In a statement, Consumers Union said: "We would have preferred the CPSC to use its authority under the law to grant specific exemptions for products that pose little or no health risk. This stay of enforcement for one year goes beyond what would have been necessary if the CPSC had addressed the concerns in a timely manner. Nevertheless, it does preserve the most critical intent of the law -- to protect children from dangerous products -- while leaving time to sort out implementation issues."

I wanted to take a moment to FINALLY do a feature on one of my favorite people and artists on Etsy....Miss anna aka Purty Girl Designs..

I've known Anna on Etsy for quite awhile and they just don't get much cooler than her! ;)

i'm up for playing so here it goes.....

1. The only piercings I have are my ears - and one tattoo. It is on my right shoulder blade and is a star with blue flames on the inside. I got it when I was 18 with my Dad...he got one, too...but he got the Dale Earnhart tazmanian Devil on his leg (my mom was there, too. She was in the waiting area about to burst into tears. I was never good at lying to them---so I brought them along! LOL) I plan on getting more :)

2. I'm an easily stressed person...I don't like being places where stress is a constant or where there is a congregation of angry people...it makes me super unhappy. I love laid back environments where you can feel free to breath and be yourself....it probably explains why I hate the 9-5 world.

3. I graduated cum laud from a private college in three years with an Art Degree...and I am REALLY proud of that. I started college classes when I was a junior in high school....i had enough credits for an associates and had to take a day off of college classes to graduate from high school! :)

4. I'm right handed and tend to do everything better with my right side.....

5. I was in a performing belly dance group for 2 years....it was awesome and I still miss it everyday!

6. I worked in the music industry for about 6 years, helping a handful of different labels....I worked at Sony BMG as a lifestyle rep for 2 of them...I LOVE music....

The Cameron Traincase - a go go...

The obsession continues....the Cameron Traincase-a go go...

This particular traincase is from the 60s or 70s. It has been repainted a lovely frosty mustard color and lined with white and gray IKEA fabric. The white highlights on the case have been hand painted with acrylic. This case was inspired by a fellow Etsian, GreenGoody. Thank to her for the color scheme and the overall theme :)

That's right, it's the new year! And what better way to start the new year than a PLAGUE ON THE SAMARIA PROJECT HOUSE....that's right, I got a great big hugemongous cold for x-mas! (along with many awesome other presents including a wii fit! Woot woot! But, my favorite present was seeing my family for the holidays! I love you guys!)

So---I'm moving slowly--but still moving! (that's what matters, right?)

New and awesome stuff coming out of the woodwork for 2009 including:
-new plushies
-extra special plushies dedicated to fundraising
-TONS OF CONTESTS! (you heard me right!)
-big sales to clean out our samaria plush/craft closet
-last but not least--lots of blog posts really telling you what is up....or down...you decide :) I have decided to do a feature each month of my favorite etsy shop of the moment...so it could be anyone! EVEN YOU! DUN DUN dunnnnnnnn! :)

I joined twitter about a month ago and within 5 minutes of being on there I stumbled upon A Place to Bark and a fabulous chick that goes by Bernie.

A PLACE TO BARK is a no kill foster and adoption rescue dedicated to the welfare of animals and was founded by Bernie Berlin. Established in 2001, we mainly work with Animal Control Agencies, rescuing animals from high kill shelters and fostering them until they are healthy.

Is there anything cooler than that? And on top of everything, Bernie is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I am so hugely impressed by all the wonderful things she has been doing and completely awed by how much she does for animals. :) She has definitely made it on my hero's list!

I had so much fun making Mr. Fronch Toast I decided to make a special plush bread for the holidays!

Heya!

I wanted to give a forwarning that many of my plushies will be dissapearing out of my shop in the next week because they will be going to LuLuBell Toy Bodega or VIXEmporium!

I will be doing a Samaria Project installation @ LuLuBell in Tucson, AZ for the month of December and many of my plushies as well as handmade bags, necklaces, clothing, and other fun stuff will be on display and ON SALE! Show starts on Dec. 6th and I will post details!

Also, VIXEmporium will be housing a bundle of Samaria Plushies in their fabulous boutique-so if you are close-go check them out!

I've been spending a lot of time in the studio lately--just thought I would give you a peek! The pics made be a bit fuzzy because they are from my phone camera!

The beginnings of Furries--p.s. it may look clean but after cutting these there was fur EVERYWHERE~! I was tempted to vacuum my own face!

The Oh My Stars Traincase - A go go....

The obsession continues....the Oh My Stars Traincase- a go go....

This particular traincase is a Starflight from the 60s or 70s. I have seen starflights traincases around and FINALLY got my hands on one. When it came to me, it was in need of a complete overhaul! If you could believe it, it used to be light blue! Here is a pic:

I found this amazing deep raspberry paint and lined with awesome multicolored stars fleece fabric that I have been dying to use on a traincase (I LOVE STARS)

I have to admit I am just really ultra proud of this case...It really came out amazing...it is going to be really hard to see this one go!
